A format label
Pool formats generally carry scores across deals toward a stated limit, with elimination or continuation governed by the chosen rules. The label does not establish the exact threshold or any re-entry procedure.
Write the agreement first
A learning sheet should state the limit, how scores accumulate, what happens at the boundary and whether any special continuation is allowed. Check the original rules instead of assuming every Pool session uses identical values.
Keep a group result narrow
A valid run in the checker neither proves a declaration nor tells you a cumulative penalty. It has no prior deal record or session state.
Compare the structure
Points focuses on a deal record; a Pool description needs a running-session condition. Use those structural questions to read a rulebook, without treating this page as a universal penalty table.
